Mw 7.0 Near Tabuk, Arabian Peninsula

On 18 March 1068 a major earthquake occurred in the Near East. The seismic event occurred in the morning and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 7.0.

There were five planetary alignments from the 12th to the 18th, two of which involved Earth converging on the 17th. It was the first of two strong to major earthquakes in the region within a few months.
