Mw 6.7 Peru-Brazil Border Region
updated 31 May 2021 UTC

On 26 November 2015 a strong earthquake occurred at the Peru-Brazil Border Region. The seismic event occurred at 05:45:18 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.7.

Three planetary alignments from the 21st to the 25th preceded the earthquake while Mars was about to line up with the Sun and Neptune on the 26th. The earthquake occurred a day after Full Moon when lunar geometry peaked 14, which coinceded with a WPG peak. There was certainly the potential for a larger earthquake around this time.
