Mw 7.1 Southern Alaska

On 24 January 2016 a major earthquake occurred in Southern Alaska at a depth of 128km. The seismic event occurred at 10:30:30 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 7.1.

Three planetary alignments preceded the earthquake on 23 and 24 January, all of which involved Mercury, most notably Mercury-Sun-Neptune. Lunar geometry peaked 10 with the third alignment early on the 24th. Two WPG peaks occurred on the 20th and 21st with lunar geometry peaking 9.
