updated 4 June 2021

On 10 April 2016 a strong earthquake occurred in the Hindu Kush region, Afghanistan at a depth of 221km. The seismic event occurred at 10:28:58 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.6.

Three planetary alignments on the 7th and 9th preceded the earthquake. The alignments on the 7th converged with a lunar peak that reached index 14. In addition, three WPG peaks occurred on 7, 8 and 9 April. Given the geometry involved, seismic activity on 9-10 April could have been significantly larger.
