Mw 6.6 Bonin Islands, Japan Region

On 18 April 2020 a strong earthquake occurred at the Bonin Islands, Japan Region. The seismic event occurred at 08:25:37 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.6.

The earthquake occurred shortly before the critical Venus-Mercury-Neptune alignment and virtually at the same time that Earth was involved in critical geometry with Mercury and Jupiter. Lunar geometry was high, peaking 14 on the 14th, which was preceded by two WPG peaks.
