Mw 6.6 Near East Coast of Kamchatka

On 16 March 2021 a strong earthquake occurred near the East coast of Kamchatka. The seismic event occurred at 18:38:23 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.6.

A warning was issued two days earlier because of Earth's alignment with Venus and Neptune. The anticipated magnitude range was 6.6 to 7.0. See also the report above.
