Mw 6.0 Kermadec Islands Region

On 24 July 2021 a strong earthquake occurred in the Kermadec Islands region at a depth of 2 km. The seismic event occurred at 12:51:27 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.0.

The last week of July was considered critical due to several planetary alignments, in particular Mars-Mercury-Neptune on the 22nd and Venus-Mercury-Uranus on the 25th. Indeed, from the 21st to the 30th six strong earthquakes occurred ranging from magnitude 6.0 to 8.2, not counting aftershocks.

The earthquake in the Kermadec Islands Region occurred at a lunar peak on the 24th peaking 12 on the index, which followed on two planetary alignments on the 22nd.
