Mw 6.9 Vanuatu
updated 18 August 2021

On 18 August 2021 a strong earthquake occurred at Vanuatu at a depth of 98 km. The seismic event occurred at 10:10:06 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.9. Initial estimate of the seismic event was Mi 7.1.

Some critical geometry involving the Sun on the 16th preceded the strong earthquake at Vanuatu. However, it is not clear if the earthquake was triggered by this geometry or that it is an aftermath of the very critical geometry around the 10th, that resulted in major seismic activity from the 11th to the 14th, including the deadly Haiti earthquake. This is because the earthquake at Vanuatu occurred just after a lunar peak on the 17th peaking 12, that also followed on the planetary geometry on the 16th. An atmospheric peak also occurred on the 16th pointing at the longitudes over Vanuatu. See the Telegram post below.
