Mw 6.4 Solomon Islands

On 15 October 2021 a strong earthquake occurred at the Solomon Islands at a depth of 20 km. The seismic event occurred at 02:44:58 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.4.

A day earlier the Sun-Mercury-Uranus alignment occurred, which was followed by a lunar peak reaching index 11. Because of this geometry some strong seismic activity, low to mid 6, was anticipated, starting on the 15th. See also the Telegram post below.
