Mw 7.5 Northern Peru
updated 28 November 2021

On 28 November 2021 a major earthquake occurred in Northern Peru at a depth of 110 km. The seismic event occurred at 10:52:13 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 7.5.

The Mercury-Venus-Uranus alignment as on 24 November 2021 has the potential to trigger major seismic activity, similar to the Mercury-Venus-Neptune alignment, especially in combination with critical lunar geometry as on 23-25-26 November. The Venus-Sun-Mars alignment early on the 26th added to the critical geometry. A major earthquake was anticipated, especially for 26-27 November.
