Mw 6.7 Northern Mid-Atlantic Ridge

On 22 March 2022 a strong earthquake occurred at the Northern Mid-Atlantic Ridge at a depth of 10 km. The seismic event occurred at 16:35:09 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.7. Another strong earthquake occurred about an hour later in Taiwan.

An earthquake warning was issued because of a convergence of critical planetary geometry on the 20th and 21st. One or more tremors reaching higher 6 to 7 magnitude were anticipated to occur as early as the 21st. See also the Telegram post below.
